Singapore (Republik Singapura) is an island country and city-state in maritime Southeast Asia with a population of 5.64 million as of 2022. It is located about one degree of latitude (137 kilometres or 85 miles) north of the equator, off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, bordering the Strait of Malacca to the west, the Singapore Strait to the south, the South China Sea to the east, and the Straits of Johor to the north. The country's territory comprises one main island, 63 satellite islands and islets, and one outlying islet; the combined area of these has increased by 25% since the country's independence as a result of extensive land reclamation projects. The country was announced as a host a few months before the competition.
The Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, often known simply as Suntec, is a convention centre located in the Central Area of Singapore. The centre has hosted multiple local and international events.
3 cities were confirmed to be in the running to host after a public bidding process was announced. Several cities were considered, but Barcelona, Toronto and Singapore progressed through to the final stage of the Bidding Process. The Organising Committees' criteria for selection included:

The competition's Slogan, "Fly Your Colours", was revealed on the 9th of November along with the theme. Designed by Lumpy, the theme consisted of a neon kite, inspiring viewers to be who they are.
